2020 Nebraska Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative (NPQIC) Summit

Target Audience: This summit is intended for physicians, advanced practice nurses, nurses, and hospital administrators specializing in family medicine, obstetrics, and pediatrics. 

Objectives: 

  1. Identify symptoms in women related to hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and appropriate treatment approaches for preeclampsia in the Emergency Department 
  2. Describe evidence-based strategies in preventing stillbirths, newborn sepsis, and hypoxemia ischemia encephalopathy 
  3. Explain how hospitals, WIC, and community coalitions and other various organizations can improve breastfeeding outcomes 
  4. Discuss specific factors and initiatives that impact access to prenatal care in rural areas
