Patient Safety Briefs
The Patient Safety Briefs that NCPS provides to its members cover a wide range of topics that are important in maintaining a safe patient care delivery system. Topics are selected from our analyses of reported events as well as those found in current patient safety literature. A Patient Safety Brief describes a specific patient safety topic and provides a comprehensive review of current literature.
The Patient Safety Briefs include links to best practice recommendations and other patient safety-related resources, references, and an organizational self-assessment tool to enable our members to proactively identify risk and develop mitigation strategies to prevent the event from occurring in their healthcare setting. Shared learning opportunities always ask the question, “Could this happen in your organization?"
